I stumbled across this a while back Opens a new window, a Raspberry Pi-based temp/humidity/light sensor that is easy and fast to put together, no soldering/cables/etc. ![]() You can download the app directly from their website Opens a new window, but for licensing, conditions and everything else, you will have to contact them directly. For a so mature application, that looks pretty good actually. With a bit of digging, I found out, that they still exist and the release notes for the software says that the latest version was released April 5th 2021. ![]() I wasn't in contact with them for two decades I guess, so I wondered if they still exist. I think, they made money with environment monitoring hardware that was checked by this application. I think, that the program was free, or just some number of monitored resources were free - not sure, how they license it. It was pretty impressive for a small 'tool'. runs an external program, sends mail, or even SMS. They were making an application called "Scrambler", that collects data from different sources and sends out alerts, restarts services, a computer. Years ago I got in touch with a guy named Greg, I think, he was the owner of CPL Systems Ltd. JordanSMilne - you are looking for something 'made in UK'? The software has the same look and feel as the "PADM20" firmware that runs on our WEBCARDLX Opens a new window. A couple of Spiceheads even helped with beta testing of the software (for their UPSes, not for E2 sensors), and we got good feedback. It's comparable to having an E2 sensor connected to a WEBCARDLX network management card in a UPS, but without the need for WEBCARDLX and UPS. SNMP (inbound polling and outbound TRAPs/INFORMs).I'm expecting the software to be posted to our website over the next few days, and I can get you a copy if you're interested. Connect the sensor (up to 3) to the PC via USB and run the free software. We're releasing software that will make it possible to use our E2 environmental sensors Opens a new window with a Windows PC. I currently have 2 HP Gen 7 Microservers which I want to keep an eye on. Ideally, I am looking at email reports as I am not in the office and cannot be rdp'd onto the machine all the time. Does anyone know any software or hardware where I can get temperature email alerts when it hits a threshold?
